Live On Air, Lost In Thought - THE ESPO EXPERIENCE (Episode 4: Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?)
Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ears!
Mark Antony was born too early to be a radio star, but I like to think I've come along at just the right time. I found out about a wonderful radio station called WRSU as a young lad in college, and suffice to say, my life has never been the same - and for all the right reasons. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to grace the airwaves of 88.7 FM, and I will never take it for granted. I've got the golden voice (and according to my old man, a face) for radio and I intend to use it.
Should we keep going down memory lane? Ok. Well, the last decade has been quite a roller coaster in my life, with many ups and downs. Most of those downs were a lack of first downs by a certain aviation-themed football team, but you know what, we're not going to go down that road today. Deep breaths. Deeeeeeeeeep breaths. Let's move on. Back to the music.
In a most noble effort to do literally anything else besides fold my laundry, I have decided to take up writing another fine entry of song selections, carefully concocted from the capable cranium of yours truly. With that said, it's time to get this writing out of the drafts, and put it where most of my job applications seem to go these days: into the ether.

I may have said in the past that my show would be a safe haven from cringeworthy holiday content, so I would like to apologize (to absolutely nobody) for playing the above song from Mr. Vince Guaraldi towards the end of the set. Exceptions have to be made sometimes; in this case, I shall make one for the whole damn album. It's a masterpiece from start to finish. Maybe Charlie Brown will get the special edition green-and-gold splattered vinyl for Christmas. He better not buy it from the Krampus - perhaps he should try a local record store instead :)
Speaking of which, if you didn't catch it on the show last night, I've made a big announcement: I have declared my intentions to start spinning vinyl records on my show, starting next year. As a lifelong fan of records, I've spent many a minute and many more a dollar chasing and enjoying the sounds of greatness. I don't care if I sound pretentious saying this, because I believe it to be true with all my heart: music sounds best when it's played on vinyl.
Come 2024, we are getting back in the groove, homies. It'll be an EXPERIENCE like no other.
Auf Wiedersehen,
ESPO
