Yo!
I've been wanting to get back in writing for a while. So much so that I've decided to take up the wonderful art of blogging, again. You may have seen my work in publications such asThe New York Times and Euphoric Eats. I've chronicled many of my restaurant excursions throughout the past few years, and I will certainly continue to do so. Just a shameless plug for my other blog, moving along now :)
Although food writing remains one of my strongest passions, I don't want to limit myself - as my father always tells me, variety is the spice of life! That, and about 10,000 other quips. Was it Frank Esposito or William Shakespeare that said "brevity is the soul of wit"? I digress.
With the launch of The Espo Experience (copyright pending), I hope to accomplish two things:
1) Refine my writing skills so I can keep the dream alive and make a living out of it someday. I currently work in sales at a software and hardware reseller, and I don't know how long my sanity will last there.
2) Build a CREATIVE OUTLET for myself - it's good for your health, and I should probably make better use of my late nights rather than watch the same television shows over and over again. Here's looking at you, Michael Scott.

To be perfectly honest, I really don't know what's in store for this blog just yet. I just want to share my story with you all. Whatever comes to mind, when the moment feels right, I'm just going write it down, stream-of-consciousness style. With some posthaste edits, of course - I'm a journalism graduate, I should have a little respect for my supposed field of expertise, right?
I do have a vacation to Kansas City on the docket this upcoming weekend, so there should some action there. I will neither confirm nor deny that there is a story in the works. Stay tuned!
After keeping this idea bottled up in my head for months, The Espo Experience finally has a pulse - hooray!
Cheers,
Espo
